Maxxam was contracted to deliver full time consultancy services to the Beijing 2008 Olympic Torch Relay for both its international and national segments.

Through a partnership with Nework Communications in Rome and the Torino 2006 Organising Committee, Maxxam planned and implemented the operational aspects of the Torino 2006 Winter Olympic Games Torch Relay.

Maxxam staffs, directly employed by the Organising Committee were responsible for every facet of planning and delivery of the Doha 2006 Asian Games Torch Relay and with project managing other Games programs.

As employees of the organising committee, Maxxam directed and managed every aspect of the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games Queens Baton Relay planning and operational phases, from concept through to implementation and delivery.

Maxxam was contracted by the Australian Rugby Union for the creative design, marketing and operational delivery of the Rugby True Colours Tour a 100 day promotional tour around Australia in the lead up to the 2003 Rugby World Cup.

As employees of the Organising Committee, the Maxxam team were fully responsible for the planning, management and operational delivery of the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games Torch Relay and the delivery of the Olympic flame to the Games Opening Ceremony.

Maxxam was responsible for the overall management and direction of the Manchester 2002 Commonwealth Games Queens Jubilee Baton Relay with its staff filling all senior management roles.

As an extension of their roles with the Sydney 2000 Olympic Torch Relay, the Maxxam team, were also responsible for the delivery of all facets of the Sydney 2000 Paralympic Torch Relay.

Whilst better known for our extensive experience in planning and staging relays for various games organisations we also have experience with Opening & Closing Ceremonies and Medal Ceremonies.

Also within our range of services is experience in creating, building, managing and delivering parades, festivals and special launches and events.

Our team have expertise and a proven track record on international Olympic Summer and Winter bid campaigns including the successful Sochi 2014 Winter Olympic Bid and the Paris 2012 Olympic Bid.
